Application:
1. Ferrocene is an additive for eliminating smoking & saving energy used in various fuels

such as gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, and coal.

2. Ferrocene is also used as the antiknock agent for gasoline; when about 1000 ppm ferrocene

added to the straightrun gasoline with an Octane No. of 56, the Octane No. was increased to 70.

3. Ferrocene may be used as the photosensitizer & polymerization initiator for photolytic plastic,

activator for synthetic ammonia and so on.
